ART EXHIBITION

ROTATING ART

The Lynnwood Event Center is proud to showcase art from local artists throughout the Event Center. Art Exhibits are rotated twice a year and bring a variety of mediums from paintings, photography, and mixed media to contemporary quilting.

Permanent Art

The Lynnwood Event Center displays two permanent art installations at the 1st level entrance. “Spectra”, by local artist Doug Hansen, stands 35 feet tall and is created from an array of steel, fused glass and fiber optics. Can be seen just outside the Event Center on the corner of 36th Ave. and 196th St. SW.

Just inside the 1st level entrance, guests can step onto Rick Mullarky’s interactive floor “Terrapixel” a 64-glass tile installation, generating a light display, commemorating the Event Center’s state-of-the-art design.

Outside the 1st level entrance, guests can view artist BK Choi’s sculpture, “Love Your New Neighbor.” This 12-foot, heart shaped sculpture is inspired by jogakbo a traditional Korean wrapping cloth. Choi’s jogakbo has pink, blue, green, and yellow in honor of Lynnwood’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Commission decals with the message “All Are Welcome.”
